The new formation trays from ZELL® set new standards in battery cell production. Thanks to their space-saving design and double-sided clamping by means of torque, they enable the safe transportation and stable formation of prismatic cells. The technology effectively prevents unwanted expansion of the cells during the charging process, thereby increasing the quality and service life of the batteries. Manufacturers in the automotive industry in particular, but also suppliers of stationary energy storage systems, benefit from this solution. ZELL® is thus establishing itself as the leading provider of formation trays in Europe and is already attracting international inquiries.

The Multiclip MC5, launched by the ZELL Group on February 1, 2025, is a revolutionary connector that seamlessly integrates 800,100 bulk baskets with the ZELL Factory and ZELL Carrier plastic systems. This innovation improves efficiency, stability and flexibility in industrial material handling and offers benefits such as faster assembly, increased safety and universal compatibility. The MC5 uses a simple click mechanism for secure but adaptable connections, reducing costs, promoting sustainability and optimizing logistics processes. Initial customer feedback highlights time and cost savings, making the MC5 an indispensable tool for process optimization. Available now, the Multiclip MC5 sets a new standard for industrial transportation and storage solutions, helping companies to improve their material flow and production efficiency.

ZELL Systemtechnik has developed an innovative configurator that allows users to create custom-fit workpiece carrier systems easily and efficiently. Since its launch in August 2024, the tool has been continuously optimized and now offers new functions such as a targeted clip search by article number or name as well as improved space utilization on the carriers. Thanks to the STEP file upload function, components can be reproduced exactly and optimum solutions determined. After configuration, a request can be sent directly to the ZELL team to receive a customized solution. In the future, AI-supported recommendations, additional design options and a mobile version are planned to improve the process even further.

After initial successful business in the USA, ZELL strengthens its commitment in the USA and founds its first American company: ZELL System Inc. In addition to a sales office in Chicago, a local warehouse is set up to guarantee local stocks of the most important products.

A consistent internationalization of ZELL Systemtechnik is only possible with strong distribution Partners for the respective markets. With ENGELS, the leading manufacturer of Part carrier systems has gained a strong Partner for the Benelux countries.
