The requirement was to develop an automatable transport and cleaning system with maximum flushing as well as optimum protection of the parts for internal goods traffic and during cleaning. In addition, the newly developed system had to be 100% compatible with the existing process in terms of its dimensions. The alignment of the carriers was ensured by Poka Yoke via the shape of the spacers. Our standard GRID PLUS system was used as the basis. Both GRID PLUS and the spacers are made of V2A, 1.4301 with electropolished surfaces. The plastic used is PA 6 GB 30. The components have a size of 361 x 256 x 67 mm with 80 pieces per carrier plate in a 28 x 28 mm grid.
